Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many prizes and grants. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the globe regarding policy and the research of children's victimization within the court system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
