Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. She is most famous for her role as Skyler White in The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career with Chicago-area theaters for a few years. After that, she switched to television and film. Anna was the first to get a major role as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. After guest appearances as a on several TV shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. In 2008, she was picked in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully is the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. She was also a part of the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the marriage he shares with Skyler is mirrored in the show.
